Our story
Our practice began as the Lawton Family Foot Clinic, established in the summer of 1983. Today, as Southwest Foot & Ankle Clinic, we are the largest foot care clinic in Southwest Oklahoma dedicated to the treatment of the foot and ankle.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality foot and ankle care in a family environment. We strive to provide as much care as possible under one roof at each office.

Evaluation and management of diabetic foot complications — including wound care, off-loading, preventive care for toenails, corns and calluses, and custom-fit diabetic shoes from Dr. Comfort.
Care for foot and ankle injuries, with on-site imaging to diagnose and treat them quickly.
If you have diabetes, we recommend examining your feet at least twice a day — morning and evening.

Founder · Board Certified, American Board of Podiatric Medicine
A Lawton native, Dr. Cain founded the Lawton Family Foot Clinic in 1983 and has provided foot and ankle care in Southwest Oklahoma for over 30 years.
Dr. Cain was raised in Lawton and is a graduate of Eisenhower High School. He completed his premed studies at Oklahoma Christian University and earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.
He served three years in the U.S. Army before founding the Lawton Family Foot Clinic in 1983 — the practice that grew into Southwest Foot & Ankle Clinic.
Board Certified in orthopedics and medicine
Raised in Duncan, Dr. Cauthon brings comprehensive podiatric training to the clinic and is board certified in orthopedics and medicine.
Dr. Cauthon was raised in Duncan and is a graduate of Empire High School. He completed his premed studies at Cameron University and earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine.
